Ahead of Small Business Saturday on November 30, the Montana Department of Commerce and U.S. Small Business Administration released the Montana’s Small Business Development Center’s (SBDC) impact for 2019.

During Thursday night’s annual celebration in Great Falls of small business leaders and Montana’s Small Business Development Center network, Julie Jaksha, Butte Regional SBDC Director was named the 2019 Montana “State Star.” The State Star is a national award that recognizes outstanding performers from Small Business Development Centers.

BUTTE, Mont. – Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney and Commerce Director Tara Rice Wednesday celebrated the third annual SBDC Day, a national celebration of the impact of Small Business Development Centers, with an event in Butte featuring Montana small business owners and the state’s SBDC Network.

Small businesses across the state are sharing their success stories and being celebrated during the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) small business week, April 29-May 5. The week-long celebration includes the SBA awards hosted at Billings’ Camelot Ranch, a 2017 success story of the Montana Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network. The awards ceremony will celebrate many other businesses that have been assisted by the SBDC state network.

Governor Steve Bullock Wednesday joined four Montana small businesses to celebrate their successes with the help of the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) at the second annual SBDC Day event at Anchor Fitness in Great Falls.
