HELENA – Registration has opened for the annual gathering of Montana’s tourism industry.
Kalispell will host the 2016 Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Recreation at the Hilton Garden Inn and Red Lion Hotel from April 10–12. The three-day agenda includes general and breakout sessions related to marketing, business, and research, as well as opportunities for Montana’s tourism industry professionals to network and strategize.
The Montana Office of Tourism and Business Development (MOTBD), a division of the Department of Commerce, organizes the conference.
“Last year’s conference was a great success, and we have another excellent program planned for 2016,” MOTBD Division Administrator Sean Becker said. “We have prepared an agenda that builds on tourism marketing topics while also adding sessions that address how tourism fits into the larger business and economic development picture.”
Nationally recognized economist Anirban Basu, CEO of the Sage Policy Group, will deliver the opening keynote and will be followed by more than a dozen other tourism and business experts selected from in-state and out of state.
Registration is $140 through March 20, after which the cost increases leading up to the start of the conference. To register or for more information, visit www.MTGovernorsConference.com.
