Lt. Governor Mike Cooney Highlights Community Development Projects in Roundup

Lt. Governor Mike Cooney visited with community leaders in Roundup on May 6 to recognize the impact and value of the city’s recent infrastructure, education, and long-range planning projects.

The Community Development Division at the Department of Commerce has recently awarded Roundup and Musselshell County more than $2.4 million in grants through the Community Development Block Grant, Montana Coal Board, and Treasure State Endowment Program for critical projects such as replacing 100-year-old water lines, constructing a new elementary school, and updating growth policies.

After touring downtown Roundup with city and county officials, Lt. Governor Cooney visited with students at the current elementary school and observed the progress on the new building, which is scheduled to open this fall.
