Dave Simkins of Leslie’s Hallmark & Montana Shop Selected as Inaugural Made in Montana Retailer of the Year for 2015

Dave Simkins of Leslie’s Hallmark has been named the first-ever Made in Montana Retailer of the Year for 2015.

For more than three decades, Leslie’s Hallmark has provided Made in Montana products as well as greeting cards, gifts, decorative items and much more.

Mr. Simkins received the award due to his longstanding commitment in supporting Montana small business by selling authentic products that are made in the state, according to Made in Montana program representative Lonie Stimac. “This is a case of one Montana entrepreneur helping another to succeed,” she said. “Dave has not only sold Made in Montana products, he offers help and advice to new producers.”

Governor Steve Bullock attended the record-breaking Made in Montana Tradeshow and presented the Made in Montana "Best in Show" Awards. During his remarks, he noted that, "Made in Montana means authentic, unique, and genuine. It means you can't find anything like it, anywhere else in the world."

Made in Montana Tradeshow

HELENA, MT – Montana retail store owners are encouraged to register for the 2015 Made in Montana Tradeshow for Food and Gifts. The 2015 show seeks to build on the success of the 2014 show, and has expanded to over 140 exhibitors who are hoping to get their made-in-Montana products on store shelves next season.
